The Truth About Sugar, the Glycemic Index, and Determining if Your Diet is Insulinogenic

Today we are talking about sugar. We have had requests to talk about this, and in practice we see that our patients are often confused about “good vs bad” forms of carbohydrates. Today we will discuss how sugar is processed in the body.  We will also discuss the glycemic index, which has been used to illustrate how much available sugar is in a food such as an apple, and how this is now being supplanted by something termed the insulin index.
